Located in the Biosphere 3 Net Zero Experimental Park in Yantian District, the Meisha Art Center has embraced the principles of greenness, harmony, and zero-carbon living since its inception.

In August 2023, the center officially opened with its debut exhibition, “Exploring Dali Dreams,” an immersive art display that offered a fresh experience to both citizens and art enthusiasts. This blend of art and technology quickly put the center, nestled amid Yantian’s beautiful scenery, on the map.

Following this, three major exhibitions — “The 18th China International Photographic Art Exhibition,” “The Visual Exhibition on Climate Change: River of Ice Excerpt,” and “The Canal Traversal Photo Exhibition” — opened simultaneously, providing visitors with a visual feast and raising awareness about sustainable development.

The center’s design is rich in low-carbon elements, featuring walls made from recycled materials, bamboo furniture, and a roof adorned with green plants, creating a refreshing and innovative atmosphere.

“Our vision is that whenever tourists come to Meisha to enjoy its beautiful mountain and sea views, they can also embark on an artistic journey at the center,” said Wen Xia of the center.

The center currently houses four exhibition halls, each with its own unique character. It regularly hosts photography, oil painting, and sculpture exhibitions, alongside captivating multimedia and installation art displays.

Today, the Meisha Art Center has become a hidden gem for many city walkers in Yantian. According to Wen, since its opening in 2023, the center has curated and showcased several high-quality exhibitions related to nature and art.

These exhibitions not only reflect the artists’ respect and love for nature but also promote environmental protection concepts through their artworks, encouraging visitors to pay more attention to environmental issues.
