On June 21, the Yantian Arts and Science Showcase and Children’s Talent Festival, dubbed the “Showcase Stage,” lit up the Yantian Auditorium with an array of captivating performances. The event featured singing, dancing, instrumental music, drama, and recitation, alongside a display of innovative science projects. This fusion of art and technology, presented both online and in person, highlighted the district’s success in combining education with creativity.
Divided into arts and science segments, the showcase took audiences on a remarkable journey of innovation and dreams. Through imaginative projects and exceptional performances, Yantian’s young talents demonstrated their ambition and vitality. To make the event more engaging, organizers introduced an interactive quiz titled “How Much Do You Know About Traditional Music?” This activity deepened the audience’s understanding of Chinese folk music and fostered a greater appreciation for the country’s cultural heritage.
Since its launch in 2024, the event has drawn enthusiastic participation from nearly 1,000 students and teachers across Yantian’s schools. A total of 48 entries competed, with 15 performances earning first-place awards in the artistic category, 18 winning second place, and 15 receiving third-place honors. Additionally, three schools were recognized with Outstanding Organization Awards, three original programs won Outstanding Creation Awards, three entries took home Most Popular Awards, and eight projects received Best Science Exhibit Awards.
The showcase serves as a testament to Yantian’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation among its students, while promoting cultural awareness and educational excellence.
