Yantian District is pioneering advanced construction methods in its latest industrial development, the Yantian Life and Health Industrial Park. As the district’s first high-quality industrial space and pilot project for “vertical industries,” the park utilizes cutting-edge technologies such as prefabricated modular construction, intelligent tower crane monitoring, and AI-powered hazard detection. These innovations, combined with Building Information Modeling (BIM), are driving the integration of smart technology with traditional construction, enhancing safety and efficiency across the project’s lifecycle.
Located in the Yantian Advanced Manufacturing Park near Yantian Port, the industrial park covers approximately 41,000 square meters, with a total floor area of 247,000 square meters. The facilities include 184,000 square meters of high-standard factory space, 38,000 square meters of R&D offices, and 20,000 square meters of dormitories.
According to project manager Wang Hai, BIM serves as the backbone of the park’s intelligent construction approach. “BIM, or Building Information Modeling, uses digital information to create a detailed 3D simulation of all building components,” Wang explained. In addition, the project integrates City Information Modeling (CIM) and a smart construction management platform, which work together to standardize safety and quality in the construction of multi-story industrial facilities.
By embedding technologies like cloud computing, IoT, and artificial intelligence into its construction processes, the Yantian Life and Health Industrial Park demonstrates the district’s commitment to innovation and its vision for the future of industrial development.
