Yantian District officially launched its 4th Mid-Mountain Park Belt Hiking Event at the District Administrative and Cultural Center Square. The event attracted outdoor enthusiasts eager to experience the district’s unique ecological charm.
Renowned as Yantian’s “Emerald Necklace,” the Mid-mountain Park Belt spans approximately 69 kilometers, weaving together greenways, mountain trails, and scenic loops at elevations ranging from 150 to 300 meters. The trail system connects a variety of natural and recreational highlights, including three waterfalls, four reservoirs, six parks, 13 scenic viewing platforms, and 23 trailheads. This comprehensive network offers residents and visitors an enriched outdoor experience.
The hiking route for this event covered a core section of the park belt, known for its smooth paths and picturesque landscapes. Participants immersed themselves in the vibrant autumn scenery, with many pausing to capture panoramic views of the mountains and sea. Key attractions included the Wutong Mountain Forest Reception Hall and the newly completed Wutong Pavilion, a striking landmark that quickly became a focal point for hikers. Other features, such as shaded greenways and waterside boardwalks, provided additional appeal, creating an unforgettable experience for all involved.
